The Overseas League recently held its first birthday party, and in appreciation of the help given by the National Council of Women, Misses Lindsay and Pattle, together with one member of the affiliated groups, were invited. A birthdav cake, made by one of the members, Mrs Reid, was cut by Mrs Sprott. Mrs Curno, on behalf of the group, expressed thanks to the National Council of Women, especially to Mrs Woodgate and Miss Sprott', who had helped to .organise the league. Four new members were welcomed, two being from England, one from Russia, and one from Poland. It was reported that during ths year 55 people had passed through the league.
