LEPERS’ TRUST BOARD

Sir, —During my recent visit to the leper (hospitals and dispensaries in- the Southwest Pacific I saw striking evidence of the moral uplift created in the lives of lepers and sufferers from tropical d seases. The tokens of friendship sent to them by the people of New Zealand have helped to bring about this happy result. These isolated people need sympathy and encouragement in their hard trials, and they ever look to us for this help. Since we began this work over 20 years ago, 886 lepers have been discharged as cured. This achievement speaks for itself. I shall be grateful for assistance in continuing this work.—l am. etc.. P. J. Twomey, Secretary. 115 Sherborne street. Christchurch.
