EX-NAVAL ARTILLERY ASSOCIATION
The Ex-Dunedin Naval Artillery Association held its annual reunion on Saturday night. The president, Mr R. Allen, occupied the chair, and with him were Past-presidents R. Smith, J. Barnes, H. G. Dougherty, W. T. Milward, W. B. Fowler, A. W. Palmer and W. A. St. Clair, some 40 ex-members of ths old company also being present. Visiting members included Messrs J. A. Urquhart (Sydney), D. C. Fraser (Auckland), J. L. Benfell (Christchurch). G. Withers (Invercargill). Guests of the evoning were representatives of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserves, Returned Services Association, Ex-Port Chalmers Naval Association, ExDunedin Highland Rifles’ Association. South African War Veterans’ Association, Ex-Royal Naval Men’s Association, ExOtago Volunteers’ Association, and ExRoyal Naval Volunteer Reserves Club. During the reunion a long toast list was honoured and items were contributed by Messrs J. S. Morrison. W. Duff, E. H. Cook, J. Barnes, E. J. lies and J. Woods. The community sing was conducted by W. Hardy, assisted by W. Duff. Mr M. West was the accompanist.
