KING TO UNDERTAKE PUBLIC ENGAGEMENTS IN NEXT TWO MONTHS

NZPA Special Correspondent LONDON. May 29. The ..King's doctors are so satisfied with his progress following the recent operation upon his leg that they have permitted him to undertake several public engagements during the next two months.

These include the Trooping of the Colour parade on June 9, the opening of the Colonial Exhibition on June 21, and the Dominion Day service at Westminster Abbey on July 1, afternoon garden parties at Buckingham Palace on July 7 and 21, and attendance at the annual dinner of the Benches of the Middle and Inner Temples on July 20. At this last function the Queen, who this year holds the office of treasurer of the Middle Temple, will act as official host to the King.
