NEW MOSCOW DRIVE
COMINFORM ORGANISATION TIGHTENING-UP PROCESSNZPA—Copyright Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, May 30. Soviet leaders in Moscow have launched a vigorous new drive coinciding with the Big Four \alks in Paris to tighten up the organisation of the Cominform throughout the world, says the Stockholm correspondent of the Daily Mail. Scandinavian experts on Russia base this belief on two main facts —first, the visit to the Czech Communist Party Congress in Prague of two of the Kremlin’s most efficient organisers, the Vice-Premier, Mr Geprgi Malenkov, and the 35-year-old propaganda chief, Mr Mikel Suslov. one of Stalin’s young eagles; and secondly, the appearance in the Soviet press of a spate of articles emphasising the role of Moscow Bolshevism as the guiding force of the world proletariat. Communist chiefs from 29 countries, including China, France, Italy and Germany, attended the Prague rally which seems to have been a pretext for confidential talks with the emissaries from Moscow. Articles in the Soviet press indicate that the real task of Mr Malenkov in Prague is to prepare a new programme of action for the Cominform leaders.
