PATRIOTIC ASSOCIATION

ANNUAL MEETING, HELD The thirty-third annual meeting of the Otago Patriotic and General Welfare Association, held yesterday, was presided over by the Mayor, Sir Donald Cameron. Presenting the Finance Committee’s report, which was later approved, Mr Edgar Hazlett said that £17,733 was left in the accumulated fund of the association. Mr J. L. Salmond.i chairman of the Soldiers and Dependents' Welfare Committee, reported that 500 cases had teen handled in the year, and these showed that the fund was ..still required. The Mayor, Mr Salmond, and Mr R. A. Johnston were re-elected as president, vice-president and honorary treasurer respectively. The executive was also reelected. It is as follows Messrs P. S. Anderson, James Begg, S. P. Cameron, W. K. Cameron, J. S. Douglas. A. Duncan, W. E. Earnshaw, O. L. Ferens, W. F. Forrester, A. J. Gordon, Edgar Hazlett, A C. Laing, J. J. Marlow. J- H. Miller, A. McHutchon, J. R. McKissock, H. L. Paterson, J. T. Paul, J. S. Ross, J. A. Roy, S. G. Scoular, J. S. Skinner, S. B. Smith, W. Downie Stewart, and J. M. White.
