WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
Mrs G. Webb was in the chair at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Federation of Women’s Institutes when two members were welcomed to the committee and congratulations were extended to the South Hill Institute on re-forming its gardening and drama circles. Six entries were received and a judge was appointed for an essay on “ A day in the life of a country woman."
It was decided to hold a drama festival and to ask Mrs Tweedie to be the adjudicator. A presentation was made to Mrs Patterson in appreciation of her services While on the committee and a welcome was extended to Mrs Mackie, a voluntary organiser.
