WOMEN’S CLUB

An enjoyable afternoon was held recently, when members of the Bridge Circle of the North Otago Women's Club entertained members of the Bridge Circle of the Otago Club. The president, Mrs Finch, in extending a welcome, expressed the hope that the visit would be the beginning of many such social visits. Gifts were presented to Miss Armstrong and Mrs McKellar, both of Dunedin, winners of the contract and auction sections respectively. Victorian posies were also presented to the lucky seat winners as follows: —Mesdames Parker and Woods (Dunedin) and Miss Ireland and Mrs Grant (Oamaru). Mrs Gregory, Otago Circle president, thanked the local circle for its hospitality and extended an invitation for members of the Oamaru Circle to visit Dunedin at a later date.
