RAIN DELAYS PLAY
Rec. 1 a.m. LONDON. May 17. Rain delayed the start of play this morning on the final day of the cricket match between Leicester and New Zealand. A further inspection of the wicket was to be made at 12.30 GMT. A later message says that the wicket at 12.47 GMT was thoroughly wet and unless there was warm sunshine it was unlikely that the game would be completed.
