GLOVES FOR WATERSIDERS
PA WELLINGTON May 16. Gloves are to be provided for the use of New Zealand watersiders as soon as they can be procured by the Waterfront Industry Commission, stated the chairman, Mr A. E. Bockett, to-day. This follows a report from the medical inspector of factories, Dr J P. Kennedy, who stated that most of the injuries on the waterfront were to hands and arms, and that several of the minor injuries caused by cuts and abrasions could be avoided if gloves were worn.
