The Soviet’s recent claim that a Russian was the first to loop the loop in an aeroplane indicates that Russian propagandists have exhausted the list of really worthwhile claims, and are now in the embarrassing position of having to boast of trivial discoveries or second-rate inventions in order to keep up the campaign of national selfglorification. *
