FAIR BUT COOL The official weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Office in v. * is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone lies east of New Zealand and a depression is passing eastward in the far south. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate westerly winds predominating. Weather fair with temperatures cool. Further Outlook.—Mainly fair. Weather in Dunedin.—Bright sunshine for 4hr 18min was recorded in Dunecin yesterday when the temperatures varied between 45.7 deg and 49.3 deg, with a grass minimum of 32.5 deg. A north-east wind prevailed. The barometer was steady-at midnight when it read 30.20 in.
