EFFECT ON DECISION Special Correspondent WELLINGTON, May 16.

The decision of the Tramways Union conference to investigate the possibility of amalgamation with the drivers’ unions is the result of the current trend towards replacement of trams by buses. They look to the day when they will constitute a section of one big union for the tranS 8 - port industry.
