FIRST DAY SALES
“HISTORY OF OTAGO” GOOD DEMAND IN DUNEDIN The “History of Otago,” by Dr A. H. McLintock, was put on sale for the first time yesterday and large sales have already been made. One large book shop in Dunedin received an order for 100 copies yesterday morn-
Ing and had only eight left at mid-day. The manager of the store said that orders for 250 copies remained on his books, but they could not be discharged until further supplies were received.
Included in the first printing were 350 de luxe copies of the history and all supplies of that edition had already been exhausted, said the manager of another firm. Orders for copies of the history had been received from all parts of New Zealand and he thought that it would not be long before the ordinary edition would also be sold. First day sales had been very successful.
