URGENT NOTICE TO ALL CONSUMERS Owing to a failure in the winding of one of the generators at Waitaki Hydro Station, the Electricity Controller of the State Hydro Electric Department has directed that this Board must limit its load to that of the corresponding period of 1943 till further notice. ALL CONSUMERS are requested to limit their use of Electricity as much as possible between the hours of 11 a.m. to 12 noon, and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily from Monday to Friday and in particular THE USE OF ALL ELECTRIC RADIATORS BETWEEN THOSE HOURS IS TOTALLY PROHIBITED. Domestic consumers are asked to switch off all water-heaters (other than pilot wire ones which are already controlled) and to reduce the • use of their ranges during the above peak load hours. N A.
