Shaw’s stable. C. F. King, who also had two wins, is rapidly coming to the front as a rider. He is a son of C. King, well known as a driver of pacers and trotters, and he is apprenticed to F. D. Jones. The other winner was ridden by W. D. Skelton, who is attached to L. H. Pratt's South Canterbury stable, and he has been very prominent with other successes this season. , . , Infatuate followed up his win at Ashburton by beating the high-weight field at Amberley in impressive style.
