Brookby Song Doubtful Starter
“ Brookby Song can be regarded as an unlikely starter in the Great Northern Steeples,” said his owner, Mr H. E. Whitford, who was at EllersHe on Thursday morning. "He will, however, most likely start In the Great Northern Hurdles.
“We intend going to Trentham and Riccarton with Brookby Song, provided he does well in the meantime. It is possible that 13.1 over the Ellerslie country In the Great Northern Steeples would ‘ knock ’ him.” Mr Whitford stated that J. Chaplin would again rfde the champion in his winter engagements.
