IMPROVED AIR SERVICES IN NORTH ISLAND
PA . WELLINGTON, May 13. The New Zealand National Airways Corporation announces new and improved air services on the Northland and central and west coast. North Island, routes. Beginning on June 13, the present tow services a day between Whangarei and Auckland will be increased to three services. This will release additional seats on the through Northland services for travellers from Kaitaia and Kaikohe for Auckland, in addition to providing extra capacity into and out of Whangarei. This third service will also operate south from Auckland to Hamilton and Rotorua. The present Auckland-Rotorua-Hamilton-Weilington service operated by 10-seater aircraft will be discontinued between Hamilton and Wellington after June 11. and a ne.w service to be maintained by 15-seater Lodestar aircraft will commence on June 13 between Auckland, New Plymouth. Hamilton, Palmerston North, and Wellington. The present Auck-land-New Plymouth-Palmerston NorthWellington service will continue to operate. The following improved air facilities will accordingly be maintained south of Auckland on and after June 13:— 1. Two services instead of one between Auckland and New Plymouth. 2. A new service between New Plymouth and Hamilton, with connections to arV from Rotorua, Auckland, Whangarei, Kaikohe and Kaitaia3. A direct Auckland-Hamilton service. 4. A morning service from Auckland direct to Rotorua. 5. An afternoon service from Auckland to Rotorua, via Hamilton. 6 A morning service from Rotorua to Auckland, via Hamilton. 7. An afternoon service from Rotorua to Auckland direct. 8. Extra . seats between Hamilton, Palmerston North, and Wellington will provide additional capacity for Rotorua and Hamilton travellers and direct connections to and from Rotorua with this service will be available.
