EXTENSIVE PROGRAMME
FARMERS' ANNUAL GATHERINGS Programmes for addresses at the annual gatherings of sheep farmers and dairy farmers at Massey Agricultural College, Palmerston North, this year (and also at Napier for sheep farmers) cover a wide range of subject, many of which will be dealt with from the angle of the latest research results. Advisory committees of farmers and other agricultural authorities, acting in conjunction with the college, have fixed the following dates for this year's meetings: Sheep farmers: Massey College on May 31. June 1 and 2 (with a tour of the college farms on June 3); Napier, June 21, 22 and 23. Dairy farmers: At Massey College on June 3, fi and 10. Speakers will include staff members of (he animal research stations at Ruakura and Wallaceville, the Department of Agriculture, the grasslands division and the soil bureau of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Cawthron Institute, the New Zealand Wool Board, the Massey College staff, and leading farmers. In addition to many of these institutions, the dairy farmers will be addressed by representatives of the New Zealand Dairy Board and the meteorological branch of the Air Department.
