PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES PA AUCKLAND. May 12. One of three persons who recently travelled from England to Australia In an aircraft which carried a steward differing from smallpox had been placed in isolation as a precautionary measure. He is a passenger traced to an Auckland address. Two other paslengers who were traced to the Hamilton district have been treated by tht department. The family which had contact with one of the three passengers has also been treated at its own vaccination in a case like this is neither necessary nor advis able, but we would be prepared to vaccinate anybody who has been in close touch with any of the contacts, said Dr A. W. S. Thompson, medical officer of health in Auckland.
