Lyceum in Form for Main Race at Epsom
Strong fields will contest all the events at the Auckland Trotting Club’s meeting at Epsom to-morrow. Tire Adams Memorial Handicap, the principal event on the card, has drawn a good field of 18 improvers, including a large number of South Island horses. On the strength of his good form at Addington at Easter, Lyceum is entitled to be favourite, but if the track is heavy Prince Hall may be one of the hardest to beat. Bull’s Eye. Whipster, Esto Fidelis and Silent Knight are four South Island horses with bright prospects. Those likely to race well include 10.45: Mangere Handicap.—Coliseum, Exaggerate, Marypark. 11.35: Winter Handicap.—Pearl’s Pride, Harmonist, Ingle Star. 12.20: Hobson Handicap.—Master Dorset, Foreign Lady, Beckleigh. 1.10: Adams Memorial Handicap.— Lyceum, Bull's Eye, Whipster. 2.00: Stewards' Handicap.—Morning Wings, Bingen Dale, Single Task. 2.50: Marconi Handicap.—Foreign Lady. Systematic, Master Dorset. 3.40: Cornwall Handicap.—Coliseum, Tui Apolis, Cam Derby. 4.30: Papakura Handicap.—Battle On, Silent Knight, Doctor Ted.
