British Tanker Neritopsis Due To-day
SHIPPING
Piain throughout the country in the past few days has delayed ships in most ports, and of the four overseas vessels previously expected in Dunedin to-day only one, the British tanker Neritopsis, is up to schedule. From Miri, via Lyttelton, she is bringing a cargo of motor spirit, kerosene, and Diesel oil for the Shell Oil Company. After discharge, she will sail for Abadan, probably on Sunday. It is most unlikely that the Bank Line’s 7261-ton Rowanbank will visit Dunedin, as was expected, early in June, because of the smallness of her cargo—s 3 tons —for this port. She brought cargo from Gulf ports, and is at present discharging in northern ports. Her Dunedin cargo will probably be transhipped.
