AUSTRALIAN FAMILY MAKING WORLD TOUR ON WHEELS
A real “ home on wheels ” has arrived in Dunedin. The term, often used by optimistic caravan salesmen to describe comparative boxes on wheels, can be applied with strict accuracy to that which arrived in the city yesterday. It is owned by Mr L. T. Hunt, of Melbourne. Built on a bus chassis, and incorporating modern home needs from an electric clock to a collapsible bath, the caravan, which is valued at £3OOO, is being used to take Mr and Mrs Hunt on a round-the-world tour.

painted silver and blue, the caravan is 18 feet long, 8 feet wide and its, interior ceiling is 6ft 2in high. It weighs four and a-nalf tons. The interior is roomy and comfortably fitted. Two rooms can easily be made of the bus-like body by simply opening two opposite cupboard doors. The table, situated between two well sprung seats in the rear of the caravan, is collapsible and forms a support for a double bed. With a range of 350 miles, the caravan carries 33 gallons of petrol, and in another tank. 35 gallons of water. There are eight electric lights to illuminate the interior, and an electric generator inset into the wall. A
