WARMER TEMPERATURES The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington. is:— Situation. —An intense anti-cyclone is centred west of Westland, and is moving slowly eastwards across New Zealand. Weather in Dunedin.—With 6hr 12min of sunshine and only a slight wind from the south-east, conditions were quite pleasant yesterday. There was still a cold nip in the atmosphere, however, and the temperature did not exceed 54.8 deg. The minimum temperature was 49.6 deg, and the grass minimum 38deg. Only a trace of rain was, recorded in the 24 hours up to 9.30 a.m. The barometer was steady at midnight, when it read 30.35 inches.
