HELICOPTER CRASHES IN BRITAIN Rec. 8 p.m LONDON, Apl. 17. The chief test pilot for the Fairey Aviation Company, Mr Foster Dixon, aged 37. was killed to-day when the Furey Gyrodyne helicopter which he was flying crashed near Reading. His observer was also killed. Mr Dixon, who was a specialist in helicopters, would often let go the controls of the Gyrodyne at 500 feet in demonstrations and allow the machine to land itself. Mr Dixon used to move about the airfield on a bicycle to which he had fitted sails.
