Arrival of Wingatui Horses at Riccarton

Special to the Daily Times CHRISTCHURCH, Apl. 15. Full Play arrived here this morning after being on the road all night in a lorig journey by float from Riverton. Ip view of the heavy rain this week in Southland his connections decided against racing him in the Riverton Cup. H. W Hibberd has been engaged to ride him in the Great Easter Handicap. The following Wingatui horses were out for light exercise this morning, having arrived the previous day: Relampago, Salmon King, Fille d’Honneur, All Alone, Western Winner, Thomas, Dinnyhazer, Reformed, Speedy, Eve Acre, Air Sonnet, Paper View, Grill, Don’t Listen, Knight Crusader, Ara Chief It is understood that D. P. Wilson, who has some norses racing on the first day at Riverton, will come here on Sunday by road from Mosgiel, bringing The Grate, Frances, The Hob and Scuttle, all of them engaged here on Monday.

Cipher showed signs of soreness a few days ago but he is all right now. No rider has been engaged yet for him in the Great Easter, but G. S. Barr does not anticipate any difficulty in that direction.

His Nibs and Survivor have been scratched for all engagements, also Gay Fenian in the Courtenay Handicap.
