WILD ENTHUSIASM

ROYAL TOUR OF LANCASHIRE NZPA—Copyright LONDON, Mar. 29. A scene of loyalty and. affection almost unrivalled in a royal visit caused nearly two hours’ delay to Princess Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh during a tour of Lancashire. On the way from Liverpool to Preston the royal car travelled about seven miles in bottom gear at little more than walking pace through dense crowds. It was not until 6.35 p.m. that the Princess and the Duke reached Preston Town Hall, where they were due at 4.50 p.m.
