' COMMITTEES APPOINTEP FIRST MEETING HELD The first meeting of the newly-elected committee of the Management Committee of the Otago Rugby Football Union was held last night. The president, Mr H. G Munro, occupied the chair. The various sub-committees were appointed Messrs Inglis and Rodgers were appointed the union's representatives on the Referees' Appointment Board and Messrs Palmer, P. Davis and T. R. Richards as the representatives on the Junior Advisory Committee. Mr Inglis was appointed convener of the Referees’ Appointment Board and. Mr Palmer as convener of tne Junior Advisory Committee. Dr Perry was appointed chairman of the Footballers’ Accident Fund Committee. It was decided to ask clubs and subunions to submit nominations for the Selection Committee before April 11. It was decided that entries for the club competitions should close on Wednesday, April 20. at noon. Transfers Approved The following transfers were approved: B. J. Kitto, Dunedin to Pirates; D. R. Smith, Ravensbourne to Union; R. Henderson, Kaikorai to Zingari-Richmond; J. B. Peck and L. H Grant, Port Chalmers to Southern; R. K. Carter, Ravensbourne to Union; P. Timlin, Union to Southern; R. C Berrvman, Kaikorai to Southern; A. H. Pine, Edendale (Southland) to Kaikorai; L. R. Corcoran, Dunedin Kaikorai; I. McEwan, Ravensbourne to Zingari-Ricn-mond- T. L. Thomson, Brighton to Taien; D Morton, Southern to Union; J. Kennedy, Edendale to Zingari-Richmond; J. R. Underhill, Wellington to Brighton; B. K. Aitchison, Southern to Alhambra; W. Rendel, Port Chalmers to Zingari-Richmond; T. F. C. Geary, University to ZingariMessrs R W. S. Botting, E. Ken and H G. Munro were appointed as delegates to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union at Wellington, with Mr C K. Saxton or Mr H. C. Williamson as a fourth delegate, depending on which was available. The appointment of a resident delegate was held over until the next meeting. . It was decided to nominate Mr Botting as a vice-president: of the New Zealand Union and also as a member of the Rugby Council. „ „ . , It was decided to support Marlborough = nomination of Mr T. McDonald as the South Island representative on the Maori Advisory Board. Permission was granted the Otago University Students' Association to arrange for a parade at Carisbrook by the Capping Bands at half time on April 30 in order to advertise the capping procession on May 11. Permission was also granted for a burlesque football match between two teams of students in the interval between the two games.
