CONTRACTS MAY BE RELEASED AUSTRALIAN ATTITUDE Rec. 10 p.m. CANBERRA, Mar. 28. “ I am prepared to consider releasing individual displaced person migrants from their two-year contract after a shorter period if they give indications of having fitted smoothly into the Australian way of life, said the Minister of Immigration, Mr Calwell, to-day. “In considering the reduction, I shall take into account the newcomer's work in Australia, his efforts to learn English and all other evidence that he is likely to be successful as a future Australian citizen.’’
