SOUTH ISLAND SCHEMES LOCAL BODIES’ MEETING SUGGESTED j When the minutes of the meeting of the executive of the South Island Local Bodies' Association came before the monthly meeting of the Waitaki Electric Power Board yesterday morning attention was drawn to the appointment of a committee to submit a list of important priority works in the South Island to the next meeting of the association. * Members agreed that there would not be much advantage in each local body in Oamaru forwarding five suggestions each, and the secretary, Mr C. F. Jones, was instructed to write to the Borough Council asking it to convene a meeting of i local bodies so that works could be disi cussed and a recommendation made to the ' special committee. Messrs J. Gerrie and A. R. Tait were appointed delegates to attend the proposed meeting.
