CLOUDY AND COLD The weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone is approaching New Zealand from the west. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Fresh but decreasing south-west winds; weather cloudy and cold, with passing showers, but clearing gradually. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin. —Wintry weather was experienced at the week-end. On Saturday the temperature did not rise above 51 degrees, or above 50 degrees yesterday. Only three hours of sunshine were recorded on Saturday, and 2hr 42min yesterday. On both days a strong south-west wind brought rain and hail. The lowest temperature registered on Saturday was 40.3 degrees. The minimum yesterday was 42.3 degrees. The rainfall on Saturday amounted to O.llin, compared with 0.32 in to 10.30 p.m. yesterday, The barometer rose steadily from 29|5in on Saturday morning to 30.25 in before midnight last night.
