By its diligence the Returned Letter Office is able to deliver many of these letters to the addresses, or, eventually to return them to the senders. But thousands cannot be delivered or returned. Some might be your letters! THESE DELAYS AND DISAPPOINTMENTS CAN BE AVOIDED if you make sure that vour letters and packets ARE FULLY ADDRESSED and that they ARE CLEARLY ADDRESSED. (Mail for the four centres should show the suburb and the postal indicator, in addition to the name of the city. Mail for overseas should bear the name of the country, in block letters, as the last line of the address. If you consider your writing is not distinct, try printing the address in block letters.) ISSUED BY THE POST OFFICE Make it your practice to write addresses clearly, carefully and fully YOUR name and address on the backs of letters. write m o
