SOUTH OTAGO BOWLING

Special to the Daily Times BALCLUTHA, Mar. 27 Leads and seconds and Open Pairs tournaments w’ere held by the South Otago Bowling Centre on Saturday. In the Open tournament eight pairs qualified. The results of post-section plav were:— First Round.—W. Park (Kaitangata) 13, R. Mcßride (Balclutha) 5; L. Edw'ards (Balclutha) 13, M. Campbell (Balclutha) 7; J. Beath (Owaka) 8, A. Wethev (Milton) 7. G. Barron (Benhar) 20. L. Cockerill (Balclutha) 9. Semi-final.—Edwards 10, Park 4; Barron 12, Beath 7 Final.—Edwards 24, Barron 14. In the leads and seconds’ tournament, eight pairs also qualified and post-section results were:— First Round.—L. Jane (Milton) 9, E. Arbuckle (Balclutha) 8; A. Forrester (Kaitangata) 11, T. O’Callaghan (Balclutha 9; C. Rivers (Stirling) 10, Collings (Milton) 9; L. North (Milton) 12, S. Brown (Balclutha) 4. Semi-final.—Forrester 10, Jane 3; North 9, Rivers 8. Final.—Forrester 19, North 11.
