REPRESENTATIONS TO OIL COMPANIES PA TIMARU, Mar. 25. Representations will be made to the oil companies of New Zealand to have the octane rating of petrol at not less than 75 per cent., and failing this the Government will be asked to assist in the matter, according to a remit passed at the half-yearly meeting today in Timaru of the South Island (New Zealand) Motor Union. Mr RO’Shea (Canterbury) and Mr W. A. Sutherland (Wellington), representing the South and North Island Unions, were appointed to interview the oil companies.
