Under ” The Workers’ Compensation Amendment Act 1947,” every employer is required to deliver an Employer's Statement of Wages to the State Fire Insurance Office on the prescribed form not later than APRIL 30. (This does not apply to members of insurance associations whose members have been exempted by the Compensation Court or to local authorities which have been exempted by the Compensation Court). A person who is not an employer on April 1 but who afterwards becomes an employer is required to deliver a Statement of Wages within fourteen davs of commencing to employ. The Statement of Wages should be forwarded bv post or delivered in person by the Etnpiover to the Branch Office for the District of the State Fire Insurance Office. . . As soon as practicable after receiving the Statement, the Office will send to the employer an Assessment of Premium. The premium must be paid within one month after the date of assessment.
