DECISION DEMANDED

INVERCARGILL AIRPORT PA INVERCARGILL, Mar 23 After a lively discussion last evening, the Invercargill Air Committee decided unanimously to pass a resolution demanding a decision from the Government whether or not the present aerodrome is suitable for an Invercaigill airport, and that, in the interests of Southland, an official reply be made known within a month The question arose when a letter from the Director of Civil Aviation wao read stating that every endeavour was being made to complete a survey and determine whether or not the present aerodrome was a suitable site for an airport. The survey was expected to be completed in two months Several speakers contended that four years had passed without any definite result, and it was time the “dillydallying ” ceased and a plan was formulated.
