RATES NOT UNIFORM

STOCK AGENTS’ CHARGES INVESTIGATION BY PRICE TRIBUNAL Special Correspondent WELLINGTON, Mar. 23. The commissions charged by stock and station agents on the sale of fat and store stock are to be investigated by the Price Tribunal at a public sitting on April 26. The tribunal will hear submissions on points raised by the Director of Price Control about the lack of uniformity in agents’ charges and possible reductions. It is understood that the matter arose from an inquiry by a member in the House of Representatives last session on whether the Government would authorise an investigation into the existence of different commission rates in different centres.
