NORTH ST. PANCRAS SEAT BY-ELECTION IN BRITAIN Hec 9 p.m. ' LONDON, Mar. 11. Labour retained the seat of North St Pancras where the by-election resulted: — K. Robinson (Labour) .. 16,185 N Shields (Conservative) 11,118 j 'Mahon (Communist) .. 854 The figures at the 1945 general election were:—Labour 16,738, Conservative 9108, Independent 403 The Labour- Government has thus maintained an unbroken record of not losing any seat it won m the 1945 general election.
