Voting To-day
The referenda on the off-course betting proposal and on the issue of whether hotel bars snouid. close at 6 p.m. or 10 p.ra. will be held to-day. Polling booths will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and employees are entitled by law to one hour off work on pay to record their votes. In the four Dunedin electorates— Dunedin North, Dunedin Central, Mornington and St. Kilda—the returning officers hope to have their final figures of the voting available by 9 p.m. and fairly complete national figures should be announced by 11 p.m. In the four Dunedin electorates, 57,378 electors are entitled to vote.
