TWO YOUTHFUL AMBASSADORS
PA AUCKLAND, Feb. 26. The boy and girl chosen to become young New Zealand ambassadors in Britain for two months, during which time they will attend a world youth forum, will leave Auckland by air next week. Seventeen-year-old Brian Woods, of Seddon Bush, Southland, and 16-year-old Susan Mac Lean, of Wanganui, will be New Zealand’s .representatives at a conference which has been arranged by the Daily Mail, London, to create and promote international understanding. They were selected as the result of an essay competition. Altogether, 22 young men and women are being flown to Britain for the forum. They will go not only to learn, but to teach, to take back to their own homes what Britain has to offer. They will live in British homes and attend British schools. They will meet and speak in open discussion in London, Edinburgh. Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham. Brian and Susan will leave Auckland for Sydney by flying boat on Wednesday. From there they will continue the journey on March 4. They will leave London by air on their return on May 1L
