Dr G. W. Pickering, Sims travelling professor, delivered an address to doctors in Dunedin last night. He left by car this morning for Timaru. ’At a largely-attended valedictory social to the Rev. Dr H. W. and Mrs West and Sister Eleanor, of First Church, held last evening in the St. John Ambuknce Hall, speeches were made by the Rev. W. Allan Stevelythe session clerk, Mr S. G. McDonald, and the Mayor. Sir Donald Cameron Dr West was presented with a cheque and Mrs West and Sister Eleanor with handbags. Dr West leaves for Dannevirke in a few days’ time.
