WELCOME TO MR EDEN

On Wednesday next, February 9, Mr Anthony Eden, Britain’s wartime Foreign Minister and brilliant orator, who is at present in New Zealand, will be tendered a public and civic welcome in the Main Town Hall, Dunedin. At the conclusion of the addresses of welcome to the distinguished visitor by the i Mayor, Sir Donald Cameron, the senior puisne judge, Sir Robert Kennedy, and a Government representative, Mr Eden will deliver an address. It is felt that citizens will avail themselves of the opportunity to hear Mr Eden, and for that reason the Main Town Hall will be used for the function.
