BOMB AS TOY

KARORI BOYS* FIND PA WELLINGTON. Jan. 17. Karori boys who found a 51b air force practice bomb in Karori on Christmas Day kept it as a plaything until they read of the finding of a similar bomb at Palmerston North and of the dangers of meddling with such trophies. Three weeks after its discovery they handed it to the police, who asked the army to dispose of it., Although only for practice purposes, the bomb was fully alive, and could have caused serious injury to anyone who accidentally exploded it.
