AUCKLAND SCOUTS AND GUIDES PA AUCKLAND, Jan. 16. Enthusiasm and devotion for the Empire Chief Scout. Lord Rowallan, were shown by 600 or 700 Scouts. Guides. Cubs and Brownies from the city and its environs at a review in the Western Springs stadium on Saturday. The Auckland Police Pipe Band in its impressive uniform added a spectacular touch to a colourful scene. After the march past, during which Lord Rowallan gave the familiar three-finger salute of the movemeni. the Chief Scout inspected various sections and the police band. On leaving the ground, the Chief Scout and his party drove through a lane of cheering girls and boys.
