SPREAD IN FRANCE

INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC DUTCH TAKE PRECAUTIONS Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 13. The influenza epidemic has spread to all parts of France, says the Paris correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. ■One-tnird of the workers are ill in some provincial centres and doctors at Bordeaux are having a difficult time in coping with all patients. The hospitals at Lille are full, necessitating the arrangement of special wards in the suburbs. The epidemic is abating in Paris, where the average admissions have fallen from the peak of 1400 daily to 700. In Holland a special Dutch influenza commission has been established in case the epidemic there, at present mild, becomes worse. The British medical press contains a Ministry of Health memorandum on influenza, saying there is so far no indication of the epidemic in England and Wales.
