TROUBLE MAKERS

CHILDREN AT HEALTH CAMPS “SCREENING” PROCESS LIKELY PA AUCKLAND, Jan. 14. Children recommended for health camp treatment may have to _be “ screened ” to eliminate possible trouble-makers, Mr E. A. Dobbie, secretary of the Auckland Central Council -of the New Zealand Health Camps Federation said to-day. After an attempted “walk-out" at Campbell's Bay camp on December 23. three girl ring-leaders were drummed out of camp next day on the orders of the matron, Mrs A. Orr. The. remaining children returned to Auckland to-day. Mr Dobbie said he was unable to account for the restlessness and lack of response to discipline. The staff, which was kindly and experienced, had been deeply hurt. The Whangarei camp had also been experiencing difficulties with children.
