CLOUDY AND COOL The official weather forecast, issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington. is:— Situation.—A deep extensive depression north-east of the North Island is moving slowly south-east. A cold front is approaching southern New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate southwest winds, freshening in exposed positions; weather cloudy to overcast and cool, with some occasional rain, mainly near the coast. Further Outlook. —Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—Conditions were pleasant in Dunedin yesterday, the maximum temperature recorded being 64deg and the minimum 56.5 deg. The grass minimum was 56deg. The sun shone for 4hr 48min, and there was no rain. The wind was from the east. The barometer reading at midnight was 29.85 in.
