The weather remains fine and present indications are that conditions will be favourable for the opening of the Auckland Racing Club’s summer meeting on Monday. As a result of recent rain the going is not as fast as usual at this time of the year, but even so, it is in excellent order and the cool weather in the past few days has to most of the horses in the final stages of their preparations. Horses likely to find favour include: — 11.15: Robinson Handicap.—First division: Beau Noir, Intervene, Bonny Fox. Second division: Luxmint, Tamineh, Dora Lee. 12.5: Grafton Hurdles—Bright Fox, Peria Prince, Bronze Man. 12.50: Nursery Handicap.—First division: Gay Cushla. Nionyx, Pursue. Second division: Denebridge, Bui Bahadur, Coronach's pride. Third division:. Beverley Hills, Theiolett, Tudor Prince. 1.55: Auckland Cup—Bruce, King’s Ransom, Lord Revel. 2.40: Great Northern Foal Stakes—Gold Script, Pentresian, Western Winner. 3.30: Railway Handicap—Citril, Regaility, The Hob. 4.20: The Queen’s Plate.—First division: Gollen, Eulogize, Corofin. Second division: Caber Fae, Lady’s Bridge, Regal Gold. 5.15: Christmas Handicap—Majesty, Tauloch, Master Coronach.
