NEW ZEALAND WAR GRAVES IN ITALY WELL CARED FOR

NZPA Special Correspondent LONDON, Dec. 16. The Secretary of State for War, Mr Emanuel Shinwell, who is chairman of the Imperial War Graves Commission, reported to a meeting of the commission to-day that New Zealand war graves in Italy were being very well cared for, and that good progress was being made with the completion of the cemeteries in which they were situated. Mr Shintyell has just returned from a tour of Second World War graves in France and Italy. The New Zealand High Commissioner in London, Mr Jordan, who represents New Zealand on the commission, thanked Mr Shinwell for his report, and said he hoped at a later date to have an opportunity of inspecting the New Zealand war graves in Italy himself.
