MAINLY FAIR The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— _ Situation.—A depression lies south of New Zealand, and a cold front is moving on to the North Island. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate 'to fresh winds from a westerly, quarter . and the weather mainly fair, with temperatures moderate to mild. . Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—There whs a deterioration in the' weather in Dunedin yesterday, when it was showery until the late afternoon, and only 42 minutec of sunshine were recorded. The rainfall""/Or the 24-hour period ending at 9.30 a.m. was Temperatures ranged between 49.5 deg and 59deg. There was a light north-east wind in the morning, which changed to the west later. The barometer reading at midnight was 29.70 in.
